Welcome to my knitting hut ! (“Cabane à tricot”)
Let me introduce myself and the reasons why I created this blog.
I am Pauline, a french knitter. This blog will be about knitting, natural fibers, sheeps, dyeing, local (and sometimes not local) yarn, reflexion around consumption, creation.
I started knitting when I was 6 years old, it was challenging, I did not always understand what I was doing, how the stitches were linked together etc… But I loved it so much ! And today, I feel the same (well, now I understand what I’m doing ;) ).
So I decided to create this blog, about knitting only, in order to write about everything I love about the craft, and about things I want to learn, I am learning, and I know.
I recently realized, thanks to Instagram and its amazing fiber community, that a career in this area is possible. I am starting to think about it, making plans, dreaming a lot. Today it seems obvious to me: knitting is the one thing I want to do when I wake up (that and having breakfast!), it is the thing that I do when I feel I have to slow down and spend time for myself.
This blog will be all about knitting, creation, learning process, knitters/artists I love, etc…
I would also love to hear / read about you, knitting folks, your journey, your experience
I’m also here :
